Darren turned 40 on March 14th. He and I were blessed to spend some time away in the mountains. It was a beautiful weekend.
Words cannot express how thankful I am for Darren. He has been my best friend for almost 20 years. I love him more as the years go by. He is a godly husband and father. He works so hard to provide for our family and makes spending time with me and Nate a priority. I. Love. This. Man. :)
The following Monday after our trip, Darren resigned from the bank where he was employed for 17 years. God opened a door for him to work for another bank. We prayed about it for months and continued to get confirmation that this would be a great opportunity. The day he resigned was such an emotional day. He loved the people he worked with and had so many great memories from his 17 years there. Thankfully all of his coworkers were very gracious, kind, and understanding about his decision to leave.
He has been at his new job for almost two months now. He is adjusting well to his new environment and enjoying getting to know his co-workers. We continue to be grateful that God provided him this opportunity.
